About Carina
Carina is located 7.5km from the CBD and is a thriving suburb of Brisbane that has seen good growth over the last 5 years. Community infrastructure in Carina is more than adequate with a major hospital only ten minutes away, there are a number of Educational facilities in or within close proximity of Carina, such as primary schools, secondary schools, TAFE and University for example, St Martins Catholic Primary, Whites Hill Primary, Carina Primary, Belmont Primary and Camp Hill Primary and Secondary schools such as Camp Hill High School, San Sisto High School, Griffith University and Mt Gravatt TAFE (Moreton Istitute of TAFE). There is also a local library open to the public that has free computer and internet access facilities.
Carina is close to major shopping centers such as Carindale Shopping Centre and also has local shopping centers at hand, for example, Carina, Belmont and Mt Gravatt East. There are many different walking tracks and bikeways throughout the parks and waterways of Carina. There is also the Clem Jones Sporting complex which houses many sporting fields for the local community. Carina has very good access to bus transport and is also within a 5 minute drive to Morningside and Canon Hill Railway stations.
